About the Institute
Established in 1999 by the M.C.E. Society with generous contributions from Mr. Abdul Razzak Allana and Late Mr. Hussain Allana, Allana College of Architecture has emerged as a leading institution for architectural education in Maharashtra. The college is approved by the Council of Architecture and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
With a strong legacy of academic excellence, the college has successfully conducted undergraduate and postgraduate programs including B.Arch. since 1999, M.Arch. (General) 2005-2009, and M.Arch. (Construction Management) since 2010. Affiliated with reputed universities such as Savitribai Phule Pune University, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University Nashik and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Lonere in the past, the institution is a constituent college of Dr. P. A. Inamdar University Pune since 2023 and committed to nurturing creative, technically skilled and industry-ready professionals.
The College imparts education leading to a five-year full-time B.Arch. program, a two-year full-time M.Arch. (Project /Construction Management) program, and a three-year full-time (four years with Honours) Bachelor of Interior Design (B.I.D) degree program.
Designed as per the Council of Architecture norms, the campus features spacious studios and smart classrooms equipped with audio-visual facilities, advanced computer laboratories with the latest architectural software, a rich library with over 6,500 books and digital resources, research facilities, workshops, material museums, climatology and building services labs, construction yards for practical training, seminar halls and campus-wide free Wi-Fi connectivity.

College has received a trophy of Appreciation for consistently performing well at the 5th PCERF B.G.Shirke Vidyarthi Awards 2020.
Lifetime Achievement Award
Dr. P. A. Inamdar, Chancellor DPAIU was felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award at the hands of Minister for Culture and Tourism in presence of the Governor of Maharashtra and other dignitaries at the 37th Pune Festival.
Madhav Achwal Gold Medal & Honors
Late Founder Principal Professor Emeritus R.T. Ghogale was felicitated for more than 50 years of his contribution and career to Architecture Education and Profession with the MASA Gold Medal in 2015, the IIA Lifetime Achievement Award at IIA MahaCon 2017, the AESA Lifetime Achievement Award at AESA Awards 2019 and the highest honour of the IIA Madhav Achwal Gold Medal conferred upon him at IIA NatCon 2025 in Bhopal.
Educational Contribution Honor
Principal Prof. Lina Debnath was felicitated for her immense contribution to the cause of Architectural Education, by IIA Pune in 2017 and 2019.
Excellence in Teaching Award
Faculty Ar. Vinish Desai was awarded the IIA S.J.Contracts Awards for excellence in teaching (Best Teacher award) by IIA Pune.

Eligibility for Admission to First Year of Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.)
- Passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR Passed (10+3) Full-time Diploma Examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education / Central / State Govt. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
- The Candidate should have appeared and qualified the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture via www.nata.in or JEE conducted by NTA OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
Eligibility for Admission to First Year of Master of Architecture (M.Arch.)
- Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from All India Council for Technical Education or Council of Architecture or Central or State Government approved institute or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability).
- Obtained score in Post-Graduate Entrance Test of Architecture (PGETA) conducted by the Council of Architecture via www.pgeta.in OR equivalent OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
Eligibility for Admission to First Year of Bachelor of Interior Design (B.I.D)
- Passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination in Arts, Commerce, or Science stream OR Passed (10+2) or (10+3) Full-time Diploma Examination from a recognized institute or its equivalent examination OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
- Candidate should have appeared for PERA-CET of Interior Design with a non-zero score. Candidates who have appeared for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture via www.nata.in or JEE conducted by NTA will also be considered eligible OR as declared by the appropriate authority from time to time.
Eligibility for Admission to Postgraduate Diploma Programs
- For Advanced PGD in Project Management & Entrepreneurship (Executive): Passed B.Arch. / M.Arch. / B.E. (Civil) / M.E. / B.Des. / M.Des. / MBA / appropriate UG / PG degree related to construction field.
- For PGD in Architectural & Construction Research "Specialization" (Executive): Passed B.Arch. / M.Arch. / B.E. (Civil) / M.E. / B.Des. / M.Des. / MBA, or any other field UG / PG degree related to Architecture & Construction industry.

Practical & Professional Training
Placements-Practical /Professional /Industrial Training is included as a part of syllabus for both B.Arch. and M.Arch. program. B.Arch. has a one semester /100 days Practical Training via internship, whereas M.Arch. has 8 weeks /40 days Practical Learning via observership to be completed mandatorily during Final Year of the program.
Employability & Career Guidance
Being a professional & creative course, Allana College of Architecture (ACOA) prepares students with graduates having entrepreneurship and employability skills at under-graduate as well as post-graduate level. Students are offered orientation sessions on Master Studies in core /allied fields and Career guidance in India and Abroad, based on their interests, before completing their final projects and stepping into the profession and industry. ACOA Alumni step in to discuss further based on their experience and guide the graduating batch.
Career Guidance & Placement Cell
ACOA has a “Career Guidance and Placement Cell” comprising Faculty members to counsel and mentor students. Students usually prefer finding opportunities themselves. For those who need assistance, ACOA recommends them about present job opportunities by forwarding them the notices /posters /job ads that college receives frequently and encourages them to apply.
